If first impressions are anything to go by … Bristol is a born winner. The landscape around the city, at least the sample we got on the taxi ride from the airport to the hotel, was beautiful. The cab driver was really kind and very keen to give us an improvised tour with the few things he knew to point out on the way. He wished us good luck on our search for an apartment, and we can only hope that all people in Bristol are at least half as kind as he was, because then we’ll do just fine.
